Soil Core Samplers are tools used to gather nearly undisturbed soil samples for studying soil characteristics and conducting environmental investigations. These samples can be taken from the surface or the bottom of a pre-augered borehole. You can collect samples in Plastic, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, or Brass Liners or directly into the Soil Core Sampler for immediate examination.

Application of Soil Core Sampler:

1. Insert a liner if needed.

2. Screw the Sampler Cap and Sampler Cup together, and tighten.

3. Connect your Extension to the Sampler Cap.

4. Attach a Cross Handle or Slide Hammer to the Extension and tighten.

5. To collect a sample with a Cross Handle, turn it clockwise while pushing down. If using a Slide Hammer, lift it and let it fall to drive the sampler into the soil. Remove the sampler by pulling up on the handle or by hammering in reverse.

6. Disconnect the sampler from the Extension. While keeping the sampler vertical, remove the Sampler Cap.

7. If using a liner, take it out and place Plastic End Caps on each end.

8. Clean the sampler, ensuring all soil particles are removed from the threads. Use a Cleaning Brush if necessary.
